https://www.humanesociety.org/animals/horsesTOPIC: Breaking! In a huge win for horses,USDA announces final rule seeking to end horse soring
Horse Soring involves the intentional infliction of pain to a horse’s legs or hooves in order to force the horse to perform an artificial, exaggerated gait. Caustic chemicals—blistering agents like mustard oil, diesel fuel and kerosene—are applied to the horse’s limbs, causing extreme pain and suffering.

https://www.facebook.com/HumaneLATopic: The scheduled 10-bear limit bear hunt in Louisana Louisiana is set to hold a black bear hunting season in December 2024 with a lottery draw for hunting tags and limited harvest in one northeast zone. The zone limit will be 10 bears and the season will end when the limit is reached. The state has seven bear management zones.
The hunt, regrettably, despite our objections, is scheduled to take place this December 2024. The Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries will distribute 10 hunting licenses through a lottery system and allow ten bears to be shot and killed (they say the hunt will be limited to larger males).
The Louisiana black bear is a symbol of our state and deserves to remain protected and shielded from a premature loss of life. We ask our state to allow the black bears to enjoy their lives, free from our intrusions.
However, our work to advocate for the bears will continue.

https://fixfinder.org/TOPICS: Building support for Community Cats United, & 3rd Protest for Team Cleo on Saturday, May 25th 1-3 pm est - Animal Welfare Shelter of Bloomfield Township- Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
The mission of the Community Cats United, Inc. is to engage members worldwide who dedicate themselves to the care taking and efforts towards feline overpopulation. Community Cats United, Inc. supports Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Phase One of our FIXFinder is to find low-cost/TNR spay/neuter clinics - vet offices, low cost clinics, mobile units, etc. Access to these places is a key to increasing spay/neuter.
Cleo the cat was abandoned in the cold harsh snow of a Michigan winter on Nov 29, 2023, with no outside survival skills, she had missing teeth and she had no front claws to even protect herself. This greatly reduces the chances of Cleo being found alive. The three kittens dumped along with Cleo had been in the shelter since they were about 8 weeks old..The animal welfare officer that abandoned Cleo and the three kittens is the SHELTER MANAGER at Bloomfield Township Animal Shelter
